This venture strikes a perfect balance between luxury, seclusion and privacy (there are only 24 villas), on a hillside. This is a romantic resort, extremely quiet and popular with honeymooners, and the rooms have a lovely wood-and-bamboo design scheme. Facilities include a small pool and a spa. One grumble: the beach lacks the wow factor.
