West on the Green

Something a bit different, this welcoming, spacious brewpub on the edge of Glasgow Green churns out beers brewed to the traditional German purity laws (which basically means they're bloody good) in a bizarrely ornate former carpet factory opposite the People's Palace. German dishes such as sausages and schnitzel (mains from £10 to £17) can accompany. There's a great grassy beer garden outside.
