Mid Brae Inn

Though this looks down-at-heel from outside, and the public bar on one side is a bit tatty, the restaurant area in the other wing has been pleasantly modernised. Some pub standards are accompanied by specials and more surprising dishes like roast duck in hoisin sauce and some innovative daily soups. Service is welcoming and portions generous. Half-serves are available.
