No Muslim visits Medina without purchasing some of the city's famous dates, and there's no better place to get them at bargain prices than at this market, where more than 100 shops sell every type of date imaginable. These include the ajwar, anbar, safawi, mabroom and delicious 'Queen of Dates', sukkari, known for their golden, melt-in-your-mouth soft flesh.
