Above the cafe of the same name, this little upstairs gem is far from the often-boisterous Merchant Sq pubs opposite. Pared-back unvarnished wooden stools and tables, offbeat art exhibitions and a large kitchen-bar area – there's far more space behind it than on the patrons' side – create a relaxing space for a quality cocktail or spirit. There's also tasty, well-sourced food available.
