Great Mosque

Built on the site of a 12th-century Crusader cathedral and incorporating some of its features, this mosque has a magnificent entrance and an unusual minaret that was converted from the cathedral bell tower. Inside, a harmonious stone courtyard gives on to a surprisingly compact prayer hall covered by a cupola.
