A perfect pit stop for families about 32km from Höfn, Hólmur offers very well-priced farmhouse accommodation (ask about sleeping-bag rates for extra savings) and a sweet, smile-inducing farm zoo (adult/child 900/700kr; open 10am to 5pm June to September) with an abundance of feathered and furry friends.
