Milk

La Rambla & Barri Gòtic

Also loved for its crafted cocktails, Irish-run Milk rescues Barcelona night owls with morning-after brunches (until 4.30pm!). Arrive early or join the wait list for lemon-dusted avocado toast, banana pancakes, egg-white omelettes stuffed with piquillo peppers and other deliciously rich hangover-beating dishes. It's all served in a cosy lounge with ornate wallpaper, framed prints and cushioned seating.

The same team runs brunchy Marmalade in El Raval and Gigi von Tapas over in L'Eixample.
