Hotel Ciego de Ávila

Where have all the tourists gone? Cayo Coco probably, leaving this Islazul staple the domain of Cuban sports teams and workers on government-sponsored vacation time. Located 2km from the city center and overlooking Parque de la Ciudad, it has standard rooms, a noisy pool area and boring breakfasts. The staff are friendly, if generally unhelpful.
