This raised casa comunal with thatched roof due east of the police station provides mattresses on the floor under mosquito netting or hammocks for sleeping in. Shared toilets and showers are below. There's a total lack of privacy here, but the Emberá women dressed (in fact, undressed from the waist up) in traditional garb are friendly. Excellent meals served here.
Have the Emberá women 'tattoo' you with jagua henna, which rubs off in a week or two.
