Atop a hill in La Arena below the TV tower, El Mirador is a popular spot where visitors from around Panama congregate to take in the views of the city and the surrounding plains. The food is standard at best, but the twinkling lights of Chitré make for an atmospheric night out.

To find El Mirador from downtown Chitré, head west on Paseo Enrique Geenzier for about 2.5km and turn left onto Quintas del Mirador, the road that begins just past the large Paseo Central mall on the right. At the fork, turn right and continue for another 400m until you reach the top of the hill.
