Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel

This attractive marble-clad hotel once hosted members of the royal family. Now it has a grand foyer decorated with enormous lanterns, Arabian Nights–style furniture, and furnishings and a majlis (reception room) where qahwa (Arabic coffee) and dates are served. Rooms are of a high standard for the room rate, and there's a sociable pool, four bars and a souvenir shop.
