La Posada Azul

This classy converted Victorian boutique hotel is just a half-block from the beach. Rooms have a blue color scheme, vaulted ceilings, tasteful decorations and whimsical artwork, while the gardens and pool area provide a lush retreat, complete with a palapa (open-sided thatched shelter) and honor bar. The breakfast, served on a pretty porch, is legendary in San Juan del Sur.
