By far the best bet in town if you have your own transport, Natalie's has large grounds overlooking the estuary, camping and a handful of rustic but elegant family-style four-person chalets with mosquito nets, coffee maker and grill. It's very tranquil. Breakfast and other meals are available by advance arrangement only.
It’s 2.5km from the town centre; watch for the barely signposted left-hand turnoff from Avenida Samora Machel onto Avenida Eduardo Mondlane just after passing Clubé de Moçimboa. Continue along Avenida Eduardo Mondlane past the small Praça do Paz on your left for 400m. Turn left next to a large tree onto a small dirt path, and continue about 1km past a row of local-style houses to Chez Natalie. With notice, mapiko dancing can be arranged.
