Toulousain is an old, easy-going 30-room hotel arranged around a shady courtyard and run by a kind Moroccan-American family in a prime Gueliz location. There's a variety of rooms that come in a highly confusing number of configurations, including some with private showers but shared toilets; the pick of the bunch is the new 'traditional-style'.
Be aware, upstairs rooms here swelter in midsummer. Mobile fans (and heaters in winter) can be provided, but you need to ask.
