Hôtel du Pacha

Gueliz & Ville Nouvelle

Novels beg to be set in this faded colonial hotel built in 1929, with tall French windows to catch the breeze and neighbourhood gossip. Common areas include a hidden courtyard, art deco salon and basic roof terrace. Rooms are decent enough but could do with a freshen up. Despite its charms, there are better places to stay in Marrakesh for the money.
