Place des Ferblantiers

Marrakesh

Since a modern revamp was imposed upon it, Place des Ferblantiers has lost its gritty appeal as a centuries-old communion of metalworkers. Just a couple of master artisans remain, but the square is still a good place to shop for lanterns, as well as rattan baskets and other goods. On the northeast side is the arched entrance to the Mellah's small spice market.
