For the south side of the city, this market is a major source of food, flowers and spices (cheap compared with souq tourist stalls). Fair warning to vegetarians: the door closest to Place des Ferblantiers leads directly to the butchery stalls where carcasses swing next to clucking chickens. It's particularly fascinating to wander its lanes in the morning when it is busiest.
