Riad Noos Noos

Top choice in Marrakesh

There's lots to love about Riad Noos Noos, starting with its mellow location in the Mellah, stork-viewing roof terrace and kooky retro style. Online deals usually make its double/twin rooms – with premium comfy beds – a total bargain. There's a small hammam, pool table and bar off the shady central courtyard, and the riad has a great-value family suite.

Excellent breakfasts – including homemade yoghurt, fresh orange juice and Moroccan cakes and pancakes – are served, but the terrace really springs into life in late afternoon, when soft music is turned on and guests come up to sit with a glass of wine and watch the nesting stork strut its stuff.
