Every morning, well-heeled residents drop by this fish stall at the far end of Bab Doukkala's souq to splash cash on sea bream, bass and sardines, but come lunch time and it's a different, ahem, kettle of fish. Head to the back of what looks like a hole in the wall, and you'll find a tidy little canteen serving slap-up fried fish feasts.
The owners speak French and Arabic only, and there's no menu. Point at what you want, or ask for 'mixte', and you’ll get a heaped plate of perfectly fried prawns, calamari, white fish and sardines. Meals come with bread, fresh tomato dip and harissa (hot chilli paste).
