Restaurante Yoloxóchitl

East of Mexico City

Beautifully decorated with plants, antiques and ancient jukeboxes, Yoloxóchitl has views over the cathedral and a selection of salads, antojitos (tortilla-based snacks) and complete meals that include a filling regional Cuetzalan plate of cecina (beef) served with tlacoyos (stuffed tortilla), beans and wild mushrooms pickled in chipotle chili. Live music is common at lunch and dinner.

There are plenty of breakfast options, though no set menu.
