Palapa Perea

Veracruz City

This rustic place, with models of sharks dangling from a straw roof, deserves its reputation for serving some of the best seafood dishes in Veracruz. Its location, a few blocks back from the seafront, means that it's locals rather than visitors who come here. The rice and seafood stew, arroz a la tumbada, will fill you up nicely.
