Central and with a perfectly preserved art deco facade, the grand old Impératrice is a local landmark almost as well known for its atmospheric downstairs cafe as for its upstairs hotel. The 23 rooms are excellent, with laminate floors, dark-wood furniture, sparkling bathrooms and all modern comforts. Ask for a room on the upper floors – room 53 has the best views.
