French architect Christian de Portzamparc conceived this stunning modernist glass oval with 823 white steel columns as a 'natural filter' to enter the world of music. Opened in 2005, its 1500-capacity Grand Auditorium, 313-seat Salle de Musique de Chambre and 180-seat Espace Découverte ('discovery space') host orchestras, chamber music, recitals, world music, jazz, blues and experimental performances.
It's across the Pont-Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Kirchberg.
