Malindi Dishes

Nairobi

This small Swahili canteen serves great food from the coast, including pilau (curried rice with meat), birianis (spicy rice casseroles) and coconut fish, with side dishes such as ugali (a maize- or cassava-based staple), naan and rice. You’ll get a grand halal feed here, but, true to its Muslim roots, it’s closed for prayer at lunchtime on Friday.
