Lord Delamere Terrace & Bar

Nairobi

This popular rendezvous spot has been the unofficial starting and ending point for East African safaris since 1904. While the atmosphere may be a bit too colonial for some people’s tastes, there’s no denying the sense of history that ebbs from the walls. The menu focuses on wonderful steak and seafood; other dishes may include crocodile kebabs and ostrich fillets.

The Sunday brunch (noon to 4pm) is a rite of passage for expats.
