Takana Ryokan

Opposite the tiny post office, Takana consists of a basic youth hostel and an attached upmarket ryokan. Simple Western-style dorms in the youth hostel are a great option if you're on a budget, though the Japanese-style tatami rooms in the ryokan are a bit more comfortable.
