Onsen Hotel Nakahara Bessō

Just outside Tenmonkan and across from a park, this family-owned inn traces its history to 1904, though the current building has a mid-20th-century feel, especially in its white-and-grey facade. Inside you'll find a modern rotemburo, 75 spacious Japanese-style rooms with traditional artwork and a good Satsuma-ryōri restaurant. Rooms and restaurants are strictly nonsmoking.
