Opened in 2017 by a friendly former Tokyoite, this humble guesthouse across the street from Hirado's ferry port shows its Taishō-era roots in quirky touches like steep stairs and tree-trunk ceiling beams. The six dorm beds look like wooden boxes fitted with futons – some have windows (with no curtains), others don't – and there's one single-bed room and a bunk-bed twin.
