Bacarretto

San Polo & Santa Croce

A bijou restaurant whose owner, Marco, is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable connoisseur of Sicilian wine and food. The menu is small, but excellent, with Sicilian classics such as panelle (chickpea fritters), pasta alla norma (with aubergine and ricotta in tomato sauce) and involtini di pesce spada (rolled swordfish). Start with a selection of lightly fried vegetables.
