Taddeucci

Lucca

The perfect accompaniment to a mid-morning coffee and a gift to take home, buccellato is a traditional sweet bread loaf with sultanas and aniseed seeds, baked in Lucca since 1881. Taddeucci is the pasticceria (pastry shop) at which to buy this traditional Lucchesi sweet treat. Its traditional Tuscan panforte (€40 per kg), studded with almonds, hazelnuts and candied fruits, is equally sublime.

At Easter come here to shop for pan di ramerini (sweet and fragrant bread buns peppered with fresh rosemary).
