Franziskaner Stuben

Going strong for nearly a century, this wood-panelled osteria next door to the Chiesa dei Francescani is a welcoming venue for seasonal Tyrolean specialities. Waiters clad in red-and-black vests parade through the elegant dining room bearing baskets of seeded bread and plates piled high with homemade dumplings, saffron-vegetable risotto, Wienerschnitzel, beef goulash, chestnut mousse and apple strudel.
