This old-fashioned tavern near the waterfront has been around in one form or another since the 1600s. Wooden tables, low-arched brick ceilings and a few nautical knick-knacks set the scene for seafood feasting with a minimum of fuss. The changing chalkboard menu (brought to your table) is replete with Genovese delicacies.
Standouts include gnocchetti neri con scampi (squid ink gnocchi with shrimp), pansotti in salsa di noci (stuffed pasta in walnut sauce) and perfectly cooked fish like ombrina. Reserve ahead.
