Tucked under the bar Groove, Malkovich is one of Genoa's most atmospheric and secretive drinking dens. To get in, you'll have to provide the password (check the Facebook page for the question, which you'll have to answer!). Once inside, flickering candles, upbeat jazz and vintage furnishings scattered about the various rooms evoke Prohibition-era glam. There's even an artfully placed bathtub.
The avant-garde cocktails feature bizarre ingredients like mushroom syrup, basil foam, snow crab vodka and other surprises, though the classics are always a safe bet.
