Les Rouges

Top choice in Genoa

One of Genoa's surfeit of crumbling palazzi is being put to excellent use in this atmospheric cocktail bar. Three bearded, vest-wearing, red-headed brothers – the 'rouges' of the name – man the floor and shake up some of the city's best cocktails, using top-shelf ingredients and herbal or floral flavours such as chamomile and kaffir lime.

There's a small menu if all the staring at those distant frescoed ceilings makes you hungry – pesto lasagna, vermicelli with squash blossoms and anchovies, or rabbit kebab are suitably hipster-does-trad.
