Ferrara's classic dishes are delivered con molto amore (with much love) at this back-alley eatery named after the hardworking, independent-spirited mother of proprietor Maria Cristina Borgazzi. Arrive early (yes, it's busy) to get some of the city's best cappellacci di zucca (pumpkin-stuffed pasta), grilled meats, macaroni pie and a wonderfully messy and extraordinary zuppa inglese (liqueur-soaked sponge and custard dessert) to finish.
