Usefully located in the nightlife zone, Chero's can get pretty lively, with beer-drinking patrons gathering around simple wood tables as tuk-tuks zip by. Salvadoran staff slap out pupusas, either straight up or filled with such items as güicoy (a kind of squash) or the spinach-like herb chipilín, and served with the customary pickled cabbage and salsa.
