Hotel La Posada

Just off the plaza, this colonial-style hotel is Cobán's best, though streetside rooms suffer from traffic noise. Its colonnaded porches are dripping with tropical flowers and furnished with easy chairs and hammocks. The rooms are a bit austere, with plenty of religious relics around the place, but they have nice old furniture, fireplaces and wall hangings of local weaving.
