Behind the big wooden doors, La Merced sports a modern interior. Rooms in the rear section have a lot more pizzazz (and are pricier), with típico weavings and colonial furniture. Rare in Antigua, the hotel boast three levels so it's one of the highest private roof terraces in the city. There's a guest kitchen and morning coffee.
