For more than 30 years, this well-respected venue has treated music fans to up to 400 concerts a year – mostly jazz, but also folk, indie and pop – on three stages. It's attached to a pleasant cafe-restaurant with a beer garden that serves light meals and cold drinks all day long.
As of 2018, it receives sizeable government subsidies towards the goal of turning it into the European Centre for Jazz and Contemporary Music and to help position Cologne as a top destination for jazz.
