Ataya Caffe

Prenzlauer Berg

This darling living-room-style cafe way off the tourist track is the lovechild of Elisabetta and Bachir Niang who have poured their hearts and cash into feeding plant-based food fans with yummy fare from their homelands Sardinia and Senegal. Specialities include Mafè, a peanut-infused vegetable stew, and the homemade ravioli. The all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch is fast becoming a local tradition.

The earthy Sardinian bread called pane carasau is habit-forming. There's also a handy children's play corner.
