Kreuzberg

This smallish, frill-free indie and alternative venue, in the crimson-lit catacombs below Schlesisches Tor U-Bahn station, presents genre-spanning gigs by up-and-coming musicians, alongside a weekly rap competition, record releases and dance parties.

The curious name, by the way, pays homage to the third album by the Neue Deutsche Welle band Ideal, which was released in 1982.
