Hôtel de l’Europe

Grenoble

With more than two centuries of history behind it, dead-central Hôtel de l’Europe lays claim to being Grenoble’s oldest hotel. Though venerable, its 39 crisp white rooms are modern, brightened by flashes of magenta and crimson, and most have wrought-iron balconies. It's worth saying oui to the breakfast buffet (€9.50 per person) of mostly local produce.

Paid parking is available nearby at a discounted rate. Room rates drop at weekends.
