L’Académie de la Bière

Latin Quarter

Serious students of Belgian beer should head to this ‘beer academy’ to try its 15 on tap or choose from more than 150 bottled varieties, including Trappist (Monk-made) beers like prized Westmalle, abbey beers including Grimbergen and Leffe, fruit beers, and Cantillon gueuze (double-fermented Lambic beer made in Brussels). Happy hour is an early starter, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.

In true Belgian tradition, it also serves moules (mussels), delivered and cleaned each morning, cooked in creative ways including with mustard, curry or Roquefort, and served continuously.
