Hôtel de la Herse d’Or

This friendly, down-to-earth address has 29 serviceable rooms; room No 22 has an original old stone fireplace (purely decorative today) and a couple of others have balconies. Non-renovated rooms have carpet and dated furnishings; pricier rooms are crisp white and modern. And no, herse is not ‘hearse’ in French but ‘portcullis’, making it the ‘Golden Gate Hotel’.
