For dining with a view, nowhere beats the Fruitery. It sits at the head of the Vallée de Lutour, and has a mountain-view terrace that’ll blow your thermal socks off. The food is traditional and delicious: tuck into baked trout or grilled duck with a cream of foie gras, and follow with blueberry tart. It’s 7km south from town along the D920.
You can make the most of the pretty setting by overnighting here (double room with half-board €120).
