La Cagette

Bordeaux

This ‘cantine fraîche’ – named after the simple wooden crates veg usually come in – lives up to its promise. Midweek dishes and weekend brunch are packed with fresh, local, seasonal veg, fruit and herbs. Service is young and fun, and seating is alfresco or around wooden tables in the minimalist, light-flooded, cagette-inspired interior.

Sunday brunch (€20) with a cucumber-infused gin and tonic is always a good idea.
