Once an old pub, now the base of Hull street-food brand Shoot the Bull, this lovely restaurant does refined comfort food exceptionally well. Locally sourced meat and fish might translate into blow-torched mackerel followed by a rare-breed beef pie with smoked eel mash and parsley sauce. Its signature dish is on the street-food menu: a butter-lathered, rare-breed flat-iron steak sandwich in a posh bun.
A second outlet focusing solely on street food is inside Trinity Market in the Old Town.
