The most micro of Prague’s microbreweries, with a capacity of only 250L, U Medvídků started producing its own beer in 2005, though its trad-style beer hall has been around for many years. The in-house restaurant serves very good Czech food and there's a hotel upstairs. Reservations recommended for dinner.
What U Medvídků's microbrewery lacks in size, it makes up for in strength – the signature dark lager, marketed as X-Beer, is reputedly the strongest in the country, with an alcohol content of 11.8%. it’s a malty, bitter-sweet brew with a powerful punch; handle with caution!
