Every Saturday morning from March to November, farmers from the surrounding countryside descend on the grassy square adjacent to the Dejvická metro station to sell their fruits and vegetables, as well as fresh bread and other baked goods, meats and cheeses. Come early to avoid the crowds.
The market has evolved into more than just a chance to buy fresh produce. A sunny morning usually brings hundreds of people onto the square and the atmosphere becomes something akin to a carnival. It’s a great outing for the whole family.
